Meet the Owner: Sonya

The owner, and head seamstress in charge, Sonya is a 2nd generation tailor with over 40 years of experience. Born in Russian, her love for fashion came from her father who was a master tailor. She started working in his tailoring shop at the age of 15, where she was trained in fine European tailoring. In 1991, they moved to NY where Sonya worked as a seamstress at a high end leather goods manufacturer. After her father passed away she decided to open up the tailoring shop in his honor. Sonita's tailoring shop has been opened for 5 years with many loyal and satisfied customers.

Specializing in leather, custom design, all types of men's, women's and kids alterations including dresses, pants, original hemming of jeans and suits.
